SDNC
District Musical Auditions
Open to 3rd-12th grade students
When: November 10th-13th, 4:00-5:30pm
Where: Newberry High School Auditorium from 4:00-5:30
* Please plan to have someone stay on the NHS campus during your child’s audition. Please enter through the bus loop.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ACCESS THE QR CODE BELOW BEFORE AUDITIONS AND FILL OUT YOUR CHILD'S AUDITION REGISTRATION. Everything is now digital for auditions. This must be completed before your child or children can audition.
Audition & Casting Information
Please bring a school photo of your child to auditions. This is very helpful for our large casting and it will not be returned.
You can come to any of the three nights of auditions on Nov.10th,11th,or 12th.We will be calling students back from all three nights to read and sing again on November 13th with students from other audition nights in order to cast our main and supporting roles. If you do not get a callback that does not mean you didn't get a part. It just means we do not need to hear you read or sing again.
Performances will be on March 12th-15th at the Newberry Opera House.
The full rehearsal schedule is located on the audition registration form.
We have created a Shrek Jr group on the Band App which you will be given access to join when you come to auditions.

Dear SDNC Families,
We know you may have heard recent talk about the government shutdown and the possibility of changes or suspensions to food and nutrition programs like SNAP and WIC benefits starting in November.
We want to assure you that this will not affect your student's school meals.
Your child will continue to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge as part of our district’s participation in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP), regardless of any national program changes.
We hope that you will encourage your children to take advantage of this offering. Eating a nutritious breakfast and lunch everyday at school helps your child excel.
If you have any questions or if we can be of any other assistance, please feel free to contact your child’s school.
Thank you.
