The MCHS Underclassmen Awards Day ceremony was held on May 6 in the gym. Students and staff were recognized for a variety of achievements.
Ms. Hanna Reese, English teacher, Yearbook Advisor, and Lacrosse Coach, was named the 2026-2027 MCHS Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Donna Caldwell, Instructional Assistant, was named the 2026-2027 MCHS Support Staff Member of the Year.
Other awards and recognitions included: JROTC Awards, DAR Good Citizenship Award, Students of the Month, Teachers of the Month, Support Staff Members of the Month, Honor Roll, Principal's Honor Roll, Beta Club State Convention Winners, Academic Recognition of Junior Scholars, 2026 Palmetto Girls' State, 2026 Palmetto Boys' State, Junior Marshals, 2025-2026 Student Council Officer Recognition, and Announcement of the 2026-2027 Student Council Executive Board.
